Goal: To be the go to local source for FedEx Shipping. There are many choices in the FedEx shipping market, and the Shipping-Annex needed to be the 1st choice besides FedEx to compete in the local market, where one client can make the difference between success and failure.
 
Results: This search for “Authorized FedEx Shipping” was a global search, not even a local search, so the odds of making to 1st place throughout the nation is slim. Considering how many FedEx Kinko’s / FedEx Office stores are in the USA and larger chains like Mailboxes Etc, that could control the market. We were able to get the Shipping-Annex to the first page on Google and Yahoo after about six months. Even though the store closed in 2009 the history of our work remains and the Shipping Annex / Albany Notary still makes the 1st page on the search engines. What a remarkable result.

With such a fast moving market our clients have to fight to hold the top spot. As we do work for several dentists, we have to spread the wealth and keep everyone near the top of the list. Goal is to keep results high in the local area for Minimally Invasive Dentistry.
 
Results: Since this is a unique search term, it was not hard to get our clients to the top of the list to start. However this is now growing as a search term and we will have to use varied techniques to hold this spot on the main engines. We will be working more with all the tools listed on our site to keep this spot locked for our clients. Granted it is easier to keep this spot in many rural Oregon areas, compared to cities like Portland, Seattle or San Francisco.

As it is not a high paying industry, the need to be the 1st person people call when a Notary is needed is paramount. Goal was to make sure we ranked high on the major engines and give the illusion that we own the search.
 
Results: We guess we did better than expected with this search as we own the whole page. Even sites that are not Albany Notary directly include Albany Notary and/or The same company and/or people. With the exception of one place, 123Notary, every link shows AlbanyNotary directly or Craig Solomon, the Notary. Even 123Notary has us listed, however it takes a couple clicks to find us and we are not the only Notary listed, so we don’t see that one as a win. Because we own the sites, and the business it was a bit easier for us to achieve this goal, but it did require a lot of set up work, cross site maintenance, set up on many Notary sites, back links, .edu back link exchange, press release, glossary setup, Twitter & Facebook posting and much more.
